Experiences
Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu (MEGA #157)
Grateful that I was able to work on this project and to better gain hands-on experience to understand what goes into a film shooting. As shown in the trailer below, the action sequence shown at 0:40 was a blast to be apart of. Learning the intricacies and depth of an action sequence from rigging of stunts, to props, direction, and cinematography developed my love for film. Working with close ties to the director of photography gave me insights on commercial movie production, especially with cinematography. My key takeaway from this experience was the importance of lighting in a commercial film.
“Mega Star” Chiranjeevi’s intense acting gave me the realization of the dedication of an actor as I learned new techniques of acting from him like the depth of acting from the eyes.
I wish I could show more pictures of my experience but no photos on set!
Micheaux Film Fesitval #7
Interning at the Micheax Film Festival was an amazing opportunity to discovering more about the film community within Los Angeles. Being able to network with fellow film enthusiasts that had a significant impact on the culture of film in Los Angeles was inspirational.
Working hand in hand with the showrunner/producer to manage the festival and keep it running smoothly like greeting guests, managing inventory stock within the merchandise store, and fixing up the production within the festival.
Running the awards show on the final day of the festival gave me hands on experience in adaptability like last minute adjustments of the script, communication within the hosts, and timely organization as I ran the slideshow showcasing the nominee films and their greatest moments.
