EDITING
I started my journey of editing in July 2025 on Cap Cut making edits of movies I love. Building this skill helped me excel in a classroom setting, especially in my class, Motion Picture Editing at USC. Translating my skills from Cap Cut to AVID Media Composer. I love mixing Indian and American culture because that is what I have group up with. Every project seen here is a love letter to both cultures and represents me in the best form that I can show as of now.
Project One -
Khaleja (Trivkram and Mahesh Babu) x After Hours (The Weeknd)
This was my starting project so I wanted to keep it simple and test out the waters of Cap Cut before diving into it all and I really enjoyed what I was getting into.
Project Two -
The Baahubali Saga (S.S. Rajamouli and Prabhas) x Franchise Remix (Travis Scott)
Franchise is one of my favorite songs and I knew Baahubali had lots of amazing moments which I wanted to hit on every beat of the Franchise Remix introduction.
Project Three -
Pushpa 2: The Rule (Sukumar and Allu Arjun), Animal (Sandeep Reddy Vanga and Ranbir Kapoor), Salaar (Prashanth Neel and Prabhas), Jailer (Nelson Dilipkumar and Rajnikanth), Guntur Karam (Trivikram and Mahesh Babu), and KGF Part 2 (Prashanth Neel and Yash) x God Level (DC The Don)
I wanted to make an project highlighting “aura” in Indian film. This is my first project using Cap Cut Pro as you can see with the effect and transitions. God Level was an intense song with lyrics that I can infuse within the edit itself.
Project Four -
Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (S.S. Rajamouli and Prabhas) x Where Have You Been (Rihanna)
Tik Tok was trending with Rihanna’s song mixed with moments of other characters in other pieces of entertainment in a sad state or a powerful moment which is why I made this. The first time I saw another edit with this song, this movie with these 2 characters (Baahubali and Kattappa) came to my mind immediately and I knew I had to make it myself.
Project Five -
Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (S.S. Rajamouli and Prabhas) x Evil Jordan (Playboi Carti)
Short and sweet one I made because I loved matching the music with each hit from this fight scene.
Project Six -
Black Panther (Ryan Coogler and Chadwick Boseman) x Pray For Me (The Weeknd)
Edited by Nitin Davuluri and Jiakun Liu. This project was for our final assignment in CTPR 335 - Motion Picture Editing taught by Professor Lauren Giordano. We wanted to split the song by T’Challa and Killmonger and show their story with the end pay off of their battle following the flow of the main film. Splicing the song where we had to cut out Kendrick Lamar’s verse and adding dialogue from the film built audio transitioning skills.
Project Seven -
Dune Part 2 (Dennis Villeneuve and Timothee Chalamet) x Globe Trotter (M.M. Keeravani)
When I heard the song, I immediately thought of Dune and the character, Paul Atreides. The intensity of the siren like noises at the end of the song made brought in sand like vibes which I thought would fit well with the character. Mixing dialogue into the song was fun and matching the powerful scenes with grand music made this edit very enjoyable. Splicing frames was enjoyable and I have figured out a more effective and less time consuming way of building it all.
CINEMATOGRAPHY
Here we have a friend of mine, Gabe Coleman’s, Verizon advertisements. I worked on them as a camera man and pinpointed where lighting works best, some directional cues, and camera movements. Here are the main few I worked on to improve my cinematography skills.
